Examination findings (audit results), collection actions like federal tax liens and bank levies (Collection Due Process), Offer in Compromise rejections, penalty assessments, and many other administrative determinations.
An IRS decision is rarely the final word.
The IRS Office of Appeals is an independent body within the IRS that reviews decisions made elsewhere. If you disagree with an audit finding, a collection action, or a rejected offer, you have the right to appeal.
We file the appeal with the right form within the right deadline (often 30 days from the determination notice). We prepare your case — facts, law, and the settlement framework Appeals officers use. We represent you in the appeals conference, by phone, in writing, or in person.
Appeals resolves the majority of cases without litigation, often with substantially better terms than the original determination. The Appeals officer is independent of the agent who made the original decision and has authority to settle on a different basis.

Excellent knowledge of existing tax laws, wonderful service and very professional. Ilir Nina at ITBS saved me a lot of money, time and headaches dealing with Idaho, California, and the IRS. I am extremely happy with the results. Highly recommended.
